My career in finance began just weeks before the 2007–08 financial crisis. I found myself on the front lines at one of the major global banks—watching the system unravel in real time. But it wasn’t just markets in freefall. People’s decision-making, composure, and even sense of identity were cracking under pressure.
Strangely, I found familiarity in the chaos. The details were new, but the mental terrain was not. As a former athlete, I had trained for situations where everything goes wrong—where plans A, B, and even C are ripped up and rendered useless. That moment is when I found my niche: the psychology of performance under pressure.
Almost 20 years on, and the fascination has only deepened. I’ve worked with fund managers, investment analysts, CIOs, athletes, and founders. People who make high-stakes decisions with real consequences. Often in isolation. Often under immense pressure.
What I bring is a rare blend of experience:
Over 15 years in the investment and financial world, including nearly a decade as Head of Investment Strategy
MSc in Behavioural Science
Qualified Executive Coach and Mentor
Qualified in outcome-focused psychotherapy, with extensive training and experience working with trauma survivors
Currently completing a PhD exploring the psychological dynamics of performance under pressure
But more than that, I bring a deep respect for what this work costs – and what it can unlock.
If you’re serious about your performance, I’d be glad to work with you.
